About Balfour Consulting Pty Ltd

Our History

Established in 1987 in Melbourne by Mary Balfour, Balfour Consulting relocated offices to Sydney in 1993 to capitalise on its association with The Strategy Shop and provide a primary source of contact for their clients in New South Wales.

In 1998, after leaving Sheraton Hotels, Colin Balfour gained initial consulting experience before opening a Balfour Consulting office in Townsville in late 1999. For three years Balfour Consulting operated with offices in Queensland and New South Wales, but by 2002 it was obvious that considerable opportunities were developing in North Queensland. Responding to the lure of a tropical lifestyle, Mary Balfour closed the office in Sydney and joined her brother in Townsville.

In 2006, the business purchased its own offices within five minutes walk of the centre of Townsville city and incorporated to become Balfour Consulting Pty Ltd.

Balfour Consulting has been repeatedly recognised for the excellence of the services it provides through local, state and national awards and through articles in national and international media.
